Benevento Russo Duo Played Harrisburg, PA at Appalachian Brewing Company (a.k.a ABC, they make some wonderful beer) in the Abbey Room for an intimate set to a dancing and grooving crowd. They performed an electrifying (Mark Benevento put his shoes on after the first song after being repeatedly electricuted when he used his volume pedal.) and rocking set that made your head bob to most beats almost involuntarily.
This was my first time seeing them as the Duo, i previously had seen them as part of G.R.A.B. a supergroup formed with the addition of Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon from Phish. The name is a play on their last names Gordon, Russo, Anastasio, Benevento. I left the night a fan of the Benevento Russo Duo. If you get a chance to see them go!
